This initiative aimed to alleviate the financial burden on families and ensure that every child, regardless of their background, has the necessary resources to succeed in school. Through this effort, we reached many students in local schools, helping to build a stronger foundation for their academic journey.
During the pandemic, we provided COVID relief packages that supported families in Kataiya with rice, lentils, potatoes, onions, soybeans, and cooking oil.
Upon receiving the notice, our community was filled with distress. With no land available for rebuilding, our fears grew as the government planned to demolish homes, possibly even during the night. In Dakneshwori Municipality Ward 6, Kataiya, approximately 150 Musahar and Malah families face the threat of losing their homes. We respectfully urge local authorities and the government to assess our situation fairly and provide appropriate compensation.
Investing in a girl child is an investment in a stronger, more equitable society. This campaign emphasizes the importance of girls' education, health, and safety, equipping them with the tools they need to thrive and escape the cycle of poverty. Additionally, we are committed to initiatives against child marriage and the dowry system in the Madhesh region, working to empower girls and protect their rights. Your support can make a significant difference in transforming their lives.
Planting trees is one of the simplest yet most impactful actions for the environment. This campaign encourages individuals and communities to partake in reforestation and urban greening, combating climate change, improving air quality, and enhancing biodiversity. In addition to planting trees, we can fight climate change by reducing our carbon footprint through public transport or biking, promoting renewable energy by supporting solar and wind options, and conserving water at home. Embracing recycling and reuse can minimize waste, while choosing locally-sourced and sustainable products supports the economy and reduces emissions. Engaging in community clean-up programs helps keep our surroundings clean, and educating others about climate change raises awareness and supports environmental protection policies. Together, these actions can create a healthier planet.
The Sustainable Housing Program promotes eco-friendly, affordable, and resilient housing solutions. It aims to reduce carbon footprints while ensuring healthy, safe, and dignified living for all, especially for low-income and climate-vulnerable communities.
